ProdCom is a software application that runs on macOS and iOS. On macOS, ProdCom works best on Apple Silicon processors. Computers with Intel processors will experience limited performance with multiple channels.
When on device dictation is available, a first draft of the transcript appears nearly immediately in italics. Once the phrase has been completed the dictation engine reviews the speech and makes any necessary corrections, removing the italics when the process is complete (this usually takes between 1-3 seconds).
Yes! ProdCom has a free 7 day trial for annual subscriptions and a 5 day trial for monthly subscriptions.
Although the application only requires macOS 14+ to operate, we strongly recommend macOS 26 running on an Apple Silicon processor for the best experience.
ProdCom is compatible with all audio interfaces and virtual drivers that work with macOS, including UB MADI, Waves SoundGrid, Dante Virtual Soundcard, AVB, USB audio interfaces, and more. On iOS, ProdCom works with class compliant audio interfaces.
